A dirty hazed BROWN cider with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice mix of apples and molasses, musty. In mouth, a strange mix of tart apples and black strap molasses, the last reminding me of molasses on buckwheat pancakes. Strange experience. Bottle at City Beer Hall, April 28, 2012.

Refrigerated 22 oz. bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours hazy pale golden with white head that dissapates quickly. No lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and light nice apple aroma. Taste is complex apple, honey, hint of alcohol, and a hint of maple syrup. Be sure to turn the bottle up side down a couple times before opening.

Bottle. Ripe juicy apple aroma which reminds me of an orchard in fall. Clear golden yellow. Yeasty apple flavor with a slightly dry finish. Almost like a lightly sweet sparkling apple wine. Light carbonated body.

500 ml can purchased at US Liquor and Wine in Minnetonka, Minnesota . The pour is clear golden, with tons of fine carbonation bubbles, and a fizzy white head that falls fast. The aroma is softly funky acidic apple peel, soft sweet apple fruit and an interesting yeastiness. Taste is soft apple fruit, spiced, then the funk and a brett yeast dry finish. After taste shows some of the sweet apple with the acidic funk. Palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, gentle and dry finish. Its the dry yeasty wild finish that makes this. Enjoyable.

Bomber. Bought at Safeway in CDA, ID. Pours cloudy pale yellow with no head. Aroma is apples, wood, maple syrup, weird. Taste is sweet and tart and finishes a little bitter. Alcohol is pretty strong. Carbonation is average; body is medium to full. Really tasty and different.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Wine & Spirits in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed prior to leaving for the airport to escape my frigid city. Appearance a light gold with no head, looks like slightly yellow water with tiny carbonation bubbles. Aroma of sugar and apple juice. Taste is pretty crisp, definitely tastes like natural apples, and a bit cider like, nothing much more though. It’s decent stuff, nothing outstanding, just standard.

Bottle. Pours with a murky yellow hued body with a fizzy white head (large at first) that fades to a ring. Strong fruity esters from a mile away. Lots of pear, and apple and honey suckle. Further aromas of vanillin, floral, honey, spicy oak, cardboard, sweetness, mild sulfur, banana, caramel and hazelnut. Definitely creative, and interesting Crispin stuff. Flavors are sadly sweet, oaky, rye, spicy cinnamon. CRISPIN: DO NOT BACK BLEND. No need for the extra sweetness...Saccharin or fresh cider are both unwelcome in this format. Mild tannin, banana esters. Strong floral esters, mild yeasty phenols. Lots of nutty, and slightly spicy character from the barrel. Slightly warming. I have no clue why the sweeten this; I’d imagine that it would be much more enjoyable without the sweetness. Vanillin, oak and barrel. Mild acidity and sulfur. So close, and it is easy to point out the failure. Lively bubbles, dry, mild tannin. Interesting, good, just not right with the sweetness.

Pours chunky pale yellow into a Sam glass. Bright white head crackles as it recedes to hug rim. Rye and apple aromas. Sweet oak and rye upfront turning to hot apple in the lasting finish.

Directly from a clear screw top 12 oz bottle. Very pale yellow. Pretty good smell, you know fruity apple somethin. Good first chug, sweeter and mild with plenty of sweetness. Goes down way too easy. Spritzer it is and I like spritzers. Sizzly fun with plenty of co2 bite. Friendly lovely kisses. Snappin thrillin sizzlin. Glad I picked this up. At $4, I almost did not. Finish? what finsh? you mean its all gone? Blast.
