I fully agree. Like stop trying to make gruit happen. But a decent enough gruit as far as saisons go. Reddish pour. Tangy finish. Good balance without too much oak. Some flower tang. Tap at Pizza Paradise.

Near black. Pine and roasted malt. Some earthy notes, too. Medium bodied. Finish has hop notes and medium bitterness. Not bad.

On draft at Olive’s in the Rockville Hilton. Clear gold with an off white head. Fruity nose with banana notes. Sweet malt flavors — too sweet for my taste. Smooth sweet finish.

6 oz pour on draft at Snallygaster 2017 shared. Dark brownish with beige head. Aromas of oak, caramel, toffee, dark fruit. Tastes of tart notes, dark fruit, oak, vinegar. Light body with a dry finish. Needs work.

Tangy raspberry and some cherry. Pours hazy maroon with good head and lacing. Pretty nice stuff. Plum and apricot, like all the dried fruits on your grandma's deck. Tap at Snally.

Draft pour at Snallygaster 2017. Poured a clear yellow-brown color with a small white head. Aroma was light tart notes. Some cherry skins, booze shines through on this one. Dried fruits. Okay.
