Bottle at Clocking New Year. I like hibiscus things and by virtue this mead is no exception. Pours ruby with nice floral and honey nose. Tastes of honey, hibiscus flowers, berries, and hint of licorice. Soft edges and warming. Nice one

Sampled at the Blarney Stone’s Solstice Beer Fest, Oak Forest, IL. Wow! A sweet chocolate mead! Do I need to say more, well, all right. Color is a little pinkish. Good milk chocolate smell, but my nose is acting up, so I may not have gotten the best impression. And so, too, it is full of chocolate flavor. An impression of milk, maybe from the honey sweetness. Quite possibly the best alcoholic beverage with chocolate that I’ve found.

Sampled at Bad Apple. Pours a clear orange gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma is full of spice, cinnamon, peppers and chili come through with a bit of honey underlying. Flavor is dominated with overtly strong peppers that over power the cinnamon and honey. Undrinkable...

Sampled at Bad Apple. Pours a clear ruby purple with slight white head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma is full of blueberry with a touch of raspberry and underlying honey. Flavor has a very boozy honey and blueberry/raspberry note.
