Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice black color. Starts strong, modest alcoholic, malty, hints of liquorice. Some earthy-malty notes in the finish, warming, and quite drinkable. Nice!

Bottle. A hazy, golden beer with a small, white head that lasts. The aroma has caramel maltyness, some pale malts, a touch of grass and pine cones. Pretty boring. The same goes for the flavor. It’’s less on the caramel side, and more on the pale malts side, but the pine cones and grass are more or less the same. Lacks a bit on bitterness I think. Medium body, quite dry, with a nice carbonation level. Bitter finish with pale malts. Well, sure decent, but a tad boring, and I don’t like the caramel touch. 140111

Bottle. It pours a reddish dark brown body, clear, and topped by a dense, beige head. The aroma is leaning heavily towards coffee, with roasted malts, some faint notes of cooked vegetables and a touch of chocolate. Roasted flavor with a solid dose of chocolate. There’s a little bitterness too, it’s quite dry on the palate, with a soft carbonation at an appropriate level. Roasted finish. Nothing special going on here, but it’s a fine schwarzbier anyway. 131214

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, fine malty yeasty. Fruity notes of apricot. Finish still mild. Quite drinkable, but could be more intense.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden to light amber coloured, hazy, mid-sized stable and lacy off-white head, moderate sweet dusty-grainy nose, a bit worty, too; moderate - as well - sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet and malty finish. Not bad, but lacks balancing hops…
