Bottle at London Gathering Nov 05. I am happy to go completely against the grain. This is without doubt the worst smelling beer I have ever had. I have never rated a beer with a 1 for aroma (I don’t think so anyway) until now. Very dark brown beer with thin beige head. Farty fireworks aroma. Bit sour. Frankly not very nice. And that aroma..... Have entered a default score here, but my original score was 1.1

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy amber. Toffeeish nose. Dryish with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. There’s loads of flowery hops leading up to a, by dunkel standards, really bitter finish.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Reddish brown colour, low head. Malty aroma with notes of rye bread. Malty flavour but relatively light bodied, moderate carbonation, notes of fresh rye bread, quite refreshing.

A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is very light of straw. The flavor is dominated by notes of straw, but also contains some notes of caramel, leading to a dry hay aftertaste.
