Bottle @ Cafe Derat. Hazy golden coloured, off white head. Nose is initially spear mint, but turned out to be thoroughly cooked vegetables, caramel, grainy. Flavour is malty, grainy, later bit of dry biscuit. Bit of fruits and lemonade. A bit weak and homebrew-ish.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 11 Nov 2016, large sample. Hazy orange to amber color, huge rocky head. Aroma has butterscotch, caramel, slight citrussy and grassy hop, bit coriander. Soft earthy and grassy bitterness, caramelly sweetness, butterscotch. Not much different, so no need to update the score any further. Bottle thx to Benzai, small sample. Hazy golden to orange color, big rocky slight off-white head. Aroma of grassy hop, bit citrus, some butterscotch, caramel and toffee, not completely clean yeast. Soft bitter in taste, slight caramel sweetness, bit spicy. A bit too much butter(scotch) in it. Ok-ish.

Bottle shared with Caesar and dEnk. Lightly hazy orange golden color, huge foamy white head. Smell and taste malts, dusty, lightly metallic, old hops, a hint of caramel and toffee. Best before date July 22 2015 so probably old. Not very good, or simply too old.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Hazy amber with a big white head. Malty citrus aroma with a hint of pineapple. taste is somewhat sweet with some underlying bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy. Finish is a bit too short, after swallowing it’s almost immediately gone. Overall a nice (session) IPA but it could be more pronounced.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Hazy orange with a very thin white head. Spicy aroma with cinnamon and vanilla. Sweet taste but with enough bitterness. A bit flat which is a shame because with enough carbonation this would be an excellent autumn/helloween beer.

33 cl. bottle @ the ’Vrijstadmarkt’ in Culemborg. Light brown with a thin beige head. Malty aroma with indeed some licorice. The juniper berries are more noticeable after the first, sweetish, sip. Nice winterwarmer; not as sweet, spicy and heavy as most winter beers, which makes it better drinkable in my opinion.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Hazy golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma with some weizen banana. Slightly sweet with a creamy moutfeel. Really soft and round beer. Truly a combination of a weizen and a heller bock. Nice atypical beer, but a bit too sweet for my taste.
Re-rate @ 21-08-2015. The brewer told me they tweaked the recipe a little to make it a bit less sweet. And indeed it is. The hops are also more present in this version but the wheat/spelt base is still there. Nicely hopped weizen.

Amber colour. Aroma is quite sweet and fruity. Flavour is similar and has a light malt background and pleasant level of bitterness. Would make a good session beer.
