Can 50 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a clear yellow with a dense white head. Malty nose with some brewing cereal. Medium body, dominated by cheap brewing cereal and adjuncts. Crude slightly bitter finish. The epitome of a cheap lager. 230310

25cl bottle from Morrisons. Yellow colour, small head. Aroma of skunky malts, some corn. Flavour is slightly of corn. Very watery, low carbonation. Very bad.

Corked bottle, form a grocery store at Porte de Clignancourt, Paris
Deep blond color; big bubbles, no head retention. Sweet and fizzy apple aroma. Sweet flavor, apple juice, very simple, and finally rather boring.

1/12 0.75 l corked bottle from Carrefour in Cannes I believe. It poured golden body with medium sized, short living head. Fresh apples aroma, nice, fine except presence of rotten note as well. Leathery, sticky glue and normal apple flavor, deux more than brut, as of its sweetness. Medium bodied. Sweet and only slightly sour finish. Drinkable and fine after all, but below French averages for sure.

Bottle found somewhere in France (how surprising), shared with heavy Poured a golden body pierced with very lively carbonation... fizzy. A small white head that went away fast that’s so characteristic of the style. Sweet gluey appley cidery nose. Gluey taste, apple and leather, sweet, slightly oily, kinda rotten but not much. Some carbonation bite, not as bad as it can get but still not impressive. Eh, there are far better ciders around.

As Belle France - Cidre Bouché Brut, 4.5% ABV
Corked bottle

Blond color; big bubbles; high carbonation and low head retention. Very simple but not bad cider, with light apple aroma and light apple flavor; not Brut, but medium-sweet.

500 ml can from a small shop in the Marais. Gold color with a huge frothy white head. Grainy aroma. Thin body with little carbonation. Flavor is watery. Not much hop. Drinks like water, so it’s drinkable.

25cl bottle from Morrisons, labelled as "Biere Blonde Tradition", ABV 4%. Brewed with maize and caramel, so I think this is the same beer that fiulijn rated, and just as bad. Thin and watery, corn syrup sweetness, artifical flavours.

Can
Blond color. Cornish aroma. Dry mouthfeel, very poor flavor, sweetish (corn syrup?), missing bitterness, one of the worst beers I can imagine. Brewed with maize and caramel, we can’t expect to have more here.
