275ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Oct 22. Thanks Jeremy for this aged relic. Best Before Oct 1995. An original Ridley Pale Ale. Smells like sherry. Super thin, dry, sherry notes. Could be worse. Rated kindly.

There was quite a flavour of sweet caramel to this beer and I'm not sure if it is something I particularly enjoyed. The alcohol was forward, but I keep coming back to that sweet caramel flavour. The uncharitable would say that this is a simple way to create an old ale.

Lovely looking ale. Clear nutty golden color with a thick fine head. Nice lacing. Nice aroma. Some spices and balanced fruity aroma. Medium body. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Average carbonation. Fruity, malty, raisins and some toffee. Decent ale.
