Imperial pint at a hotel bar in Thorold. The only beery thing I get to do on this quick excursion to Canadia. Clear orange amber color with a nice strong head. Aroma is fruit hops and sweet hops with a clean, slightly earthy and faintly metallic lager underneath. A thicker yet easy drinking mouthfeel. Flavor is strong on flavor hops and low on bittering hops. No flaws, good clean well lagered body that is dominated by easy fruit-sweet hops. Nice drink, would drink again.

Sample from can at the Strange Brew Tasting on 02/18/2012. Pours a clear orange color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt, caramel and grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malt aftertaste. Barely average overall.

Okay small head and brown-copper body. Aroma of sweet hops mixed with malts, some swampwater hints in there. Flavour has strong nuttiness in it, sweetness, with a dry hoppy finish. In fact, this one works quite well - worth trying and would make a good session beer.

This lager poured a medium dark amber colour with a nice, big, beautiful cream coloured head. To the nose there are scents of citrus, hop, spruce, light cheese and cream. First sip was smooth with a creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of citrus and spruce hops, with bready overtones. Finish is flavourful and lightly hoppy. Very nice.

(can) clear amber with small white head; aroma cereal, grass; light balanced flavour; inoffensive and certainly not ’barking’

Can: Poured a clear golden lager with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of light adjunct notes and overly sweet malt is not the most interesting. Taste is also more adjunct base then I had anticipated with not much other characteristics showing off and not much hops presence. Definitely not one I will drink again though I seems to be off compared to previous ratings.

A golden amber ale with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, a nice caramel malt with smooth British hops. In mouth,a smooth pale ale with some nice resinous hops, faint but goods, caramel in finale. Medium bodied. Half pint at Highlander, Ottawa, 3.09$.
