Draught at Spa Hotel, Saltburn by the Sea. Pinkish purple colour, thin white foam head and aroma of berry fruits, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry. Taste is sweet, syrupy, mixed berries, jammy, sugary. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet berry finish. Very sweet.

500 ml can, Somersby Blueberry & Lemon Lite Flavoured Sparkling Cider, 4.5%, at Cardinal, Stavanger. Clear deep red colour, small pink head. Artificial flavour of blueberries and lemon as announced, apple juice in the background, also artificial sweeteners. Not good, but could have been worse. Better served on ice.

Geruch nach Weihnachtsbratapfel Geschmacklich ebenso. Allerdings frisch / fruchtiger (weil eben nicht gebraten) und säuerlicher. Im Endteil kommt eine bitter / staubige Note durch, dass ich fast schon versucht bin zu glauben, dass hier echter Zimt verwendet wurde und kein billiges, künstliches Aroma. Heiß genossen reduziert sich die Fruchtigkeit etwas, schmeckt aber trotzdem.

Can. An almost clear, still drink with some white bubbles around the rim. The aroma is cinnamon driven, with apple in the supporting role. Sugary fruity-sweet. Semi-sticky on the palate, medium bodided, with a flavor of apple juice and cinnamon. Less cinnamon than in the aroma. Medium length finish. Might be more interesting if warmed this one. 231226
