0.5l flip-top bottle in a bavarian beer set from marktkauf. pours a murky dark brown/chestnut with a medium off-white head and a lot of yeast sediment. aroma of apple pie, cinnamon, banana, caramel. flavour of tart apple cider, sour unripe apricots, bread, malts porridge, no banana. a bit weird, would need some more funk for it to be a proper sour. the yeast is nice though, gives it a fuller body than expected.

(swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Juicy malty, slightly sugary nose with notes of apricots and a whiff of metal. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm, almost tame carbonation. Juicy and sweet malt character with notes of apricot jam; sweet and sticky, very restrasined bitter finish. 02.IX.17

Buegelverschlußflasche: Pale golden with a greenish sheen, unclear, slowly collapsing small white head; sweetish grainy nose with a small amount of strawy hops; mild to moderate sweetish flavour with a pretty delicate bitterness; medium bodied , a bit sticky; short sweet grainy finish with a perfectly hidden bitterness. Very simple, monotonous brew...

50cl clear glass swing top bottle. Pours clear pale golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of pale malt, hay, dry spicy hops. Taste of spicy hops, pale malt, grains, mild sweetness, not good!

Pours golden with a white foamy head of middle duration. Aroma is malty sweet with floral notes around the edges. The taste is generally very mild, with the sweet malt in the leading role. Lightly sour at the end, with a hint of sweetness. Virtually no bitterness. Medium bodied with lighter than average carbonation. OK, but could get cloying when going beyond 1 or 2 bottles.

05.03.2016 -- 0.5l flip-top bottle as a part of a bavarian beer set from marktkauf/edeka. pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head and a nice lacing. aroma of grains, dried apricots and other fruits, caramel, slight alcohol. flavour of sweet malts. oily mouthfeel, some alcohol warmth. is this a rebranded Moosbacher Extra Bock? 05.02.2019 -- as Winterzauber from Marktkauf. uzvar/dried fruits compote. quite malty, not too sweet though.
