Shared with Caesar and ShivanDragon @ Mancave Bunnik. Clear bright yellow golden color, medium sized white to off-white head. Aroma is lightly smoke but also a bit soapy. Flavor is lightly malts, again smoke, nicely bitter. I quite like this one, very balanced. Aroma isn't really nice imo, but the flavor is lovely.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Smoked pale malt with bergamot, grain, smoked wood, herbal noble hop. Mild to medium bitter, dry smoked finish. Body is medium. Quite nice.

(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2026) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, pine needles and herbs. Hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine needles, white bread and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, dry. Clean, crisp and hoppy. Very nice.

Malty, hoppy taste with citrus, herbs, bread, tea, a mild smoke touch and a balanced citric/herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Interesting, fresh and tasty. Very nice.

Can at Bar Oorlam. Clear golden, nice offwhite foam. Grätzer smokiness initially , flowery, doughy/brioche smoke, raw ale fruits and grains, nice salt, herb and grass bitterness, chewy medium body, spritzy, complex, the actual smoky champagne of beers, very fun.

Can at Oorlem. Golden, clear. Herbal tea, ash, sour nose. Full, creamy chewy, oily. Front heavy and long lasting smooth bitterness, ash. Interesting, in a good way. Love the mouthfeel. The can has a little white cat on a swing, below a full golden moon (extra point for the artwork, yes). Was told there is a cat at Oorlam; glad that we found it.

Tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, sat outside, January 14th, 2026, watching some clowns trying to haul their dingy out of the canal. The beer pours clear and straw colour. Aroma is aromatic, taste is dry, bitter and aromatic - very decent

On tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam on 28th November 2025. Clear gold with yellowy white foam and full lacing. Caramel maltiness and smoke in aroma. Rich and intense smokiness in-mouth - woodsmoke, and a finish to match. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium body.
