Bottle from B&M Bargains, Halifax. Tawny golden coloured with a small carbonation and a very thin head. The rum influence makes it a very sweet beer. Slightly skunky aroma and taste, but it is in a clear glass bottle so this may account for that.

Bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Drank straight from the bottle but the colour is pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is grainy and sweet. Taste is very sweet with a Bourbon base. Not as bad as some other reviewers rate it but nowhere near good.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 09/10/15, large sample (at least, that’s what I’m starting with). Clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of some sweet vanilla like booze, corn, skunky, bit citrussy bitter lemon/lime like. Sweet almost soda pop taste. Flavored stuff, sweet. It’s drinkable, but it’s got nothing to do with beer. Drink from the bottle and ice and ice cold, and it’s probably a decent thirst quencher.

Now called Dead Crow Rum Flavoured Beer. One of those ’trendy’ but awful thin bland lagers ’pimped’ with liquor and sugar; yellowish white, regular but thin and very quickly dissolving head, colour orangey blonde (’old gold’), with quiet sparkling. Aroma very reminiscent of what in Flemish pub life is called ’baco’ (a cocktail of brown rhum with Coke), sticky sugary lemonade, a very, very faint graininess and something ’lightstruck’ (cat pee), strong and overpowering when opening the bottle but fortunately fading away quickly. Very sweet, cloying onset, very sugary and artificial, low carbonation, slick and thin mouthfeel, clear brown rum taste in the finish, but the sticky sweetness even dominates that; ’beer’, in the sense of malt and / or hops, is hardly noticeable at all and the rum extract has a slightly astringent effect. I believe this is even worse than Cubana ’59 or Desperados - and by establishing that, I cannot but conclude that this is effectively among the worst ’beers’ I have ever had the displeasure to taste. Truly horrible and to avoid at all times, unless you’re looking for an alternative to ’baco’ and do not like beer.

330ml bottle from B&M. Pale yellow colour only a light head. Aroma metalic sweetness, and sick. Taste is mainly sweet, nothing like beer. Really bad, drain pour.

Bottle. Pours clear golden, small white head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is grainy, corn syrup, some bourbon candy stuff. Flavor is fully sweet, candy, perhaps bourbon, corn syrup, soda. Medium body, a bit tart on the finish. More like a railer than a pale lager, not so good.

Sweet ’beer’, with a artificial taste of chemicals. Like a weird lemonade. Perhaps this is what a dead crow tastes like.

Bottle. Gusher. Pours clear golden with small, airy white head. Dusty aroma of cheap booze, inferior malt and yeast, with some notes of hops. Sweet flavour of cheap malt, rotten fruit, aspartame and yeast, with faint notes of hops. Sour and sweetish aftertaste. Completely out of balance and very bad.
