Bottle from Asda. Possibly the most vile beer I’ve had to date. Pale golden with a very thin head. Skunky aroma and an awful sweetened taste. A touch of the bourbon is evident but it adds nothing.

There seems to be a strong correlation between sweetened hybrid beer-drinks and tropical countries.... I wonder why is that? Someone must do a study! This has a pale golden body with minimal carbonation and almost no head. The aroma is hops bolstered by plenty of weird sugary sweetness, not suggesting rum, but rather beer-adjunct hell. The flavour is a weird bitters-taste of sweet leaves and hops. The rum and the hops are certainly not working well together! Like chewing on a lime with sugar wrapped in it. Where is the beer again? I wish I could say something for this other than absolutely revolting.

Slightly darker golden hue to the body with a pasty white head that has a slight bit of staying power. Aroma of caramel soda. Flavour is an awkward sugary mix of fusel fruitiness with a weird cherry finish. Weird film left on the tongue. Not good at all.

Bottle from B&M Bargains; clear light amber pour with a big foamy white head, honey aroma, taste is very sweet like a lager shandy with sugar dumped in, not at all pleasant.

Bottle shared at the chriso 2013 pre-GBBF shindig - London. I brought this shit - you’re welcome, folks. Pours clear gold with a white head. Tastes like smarties candies. Very sweet and sugary, some rotten fruits. Light bodied with average carbonation. More straight sugar and mild artificial flavors to finish. Garbage.

Aroma is moderate malty, fruity malt, sugary. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary, fruit, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130810]

Where is the bourbon? Or for that matter where is the beer? This is as afwul as the rating says. Sometimes you see below 10 rating and find drinkable pale lager behind it, this is not one of those cases. Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours clear gold with a light, white cream head. Nose of lime and mild bread. Very sugary flavor with rotten citrus - lime in particular. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sugary, syrupy finish, more lime. Poor.
