Bottle from Rewe Bamberg and drunk with Nelson. Hazy gold colour lasting off white head. Some yeasty aroma some slight herb aroma. Low carbonation. It has some malt some low hops. It's ok except the aroma. As I say apart from aroma it's fine if not very exciting. Not really a pils either. OK. Bit odd diacetyl

Bottle from Rewe Bamberg and drunk with Nelson. Clear mid brown colour lasting beige head. Malty. Yes. Some amber and brown malt flavours. It's good in the mouth acceptable. Some hop sting on the finish. Yes drinkable enough. Would happily have a few of these.

Bottle from Rewe Bamberg and drunk with Nelson. Clear deep gold colour lasting off white head. Some malt to it. Some moderate hop for a helles. So a bit maltier and a bit hoppier than a straight up hell. It's reasonably tasty. Decent drinkability.

Bottle from Meibier. Crisp with an aroma of hay, grassy noble hops, grainy malt, and a hint of citrus. Mild bitter taste with a light sweetness. Light to medium body, would have been stellar with just a bit more body. Quite nice as it stands.

Bottle at HopDog. Slightly hazy golden body, biiig fluffy white head. Huge floral-herbal hoppy aroma, mildly soapy maaaybe. Taste... oh wow... clean pillowy maltiness, the same floral-herbal hoppiness dominating, vaaaguely citric maybe. Not much bitterness, but it doesn't need it. Excellent! And Gregor said he'll try to get a keg!

Bottle from HopDog. Foamy offwhite on a hazy golden base. bright grassy and light flowery aroma. Medium full foamy mouthfeel, light grainy base, juicy malt, a hint fruity yeast notes, good crisp bitter finish. Nice one, I hope Gregor gets it on tap at some point.

Bottle @ Rewe, Bamberg (Pödeldorfer Strasse). Pours cloudy golden with a small head. Oily and soft with bready malts and unfortunatly quite some green Apple. Same issue as when I visited the brewery in 2016. A lot of potential but fairly unclean. A shame.

Pours golden or the slightest darker, with a couple of fingers of head: quite quick at dissipating but still leaving some lacing. Aroma: neutral pale malts with just a trace of hay, a sweet foundation with notes of chamomille and light honey, light fruitiness also on the sweetish side (yellow apple most noticeable). Taste follows the aroma, with a sweet edge in both taste and aftertaste as the smell suggested (a nice clean sweetness though, not the sticky one). Light to medium bodied with quite light very small bubbled carbonation; quite typical, easy german lager mouthfeel. Overall very much ok. P.S. bottle says unfiltriert so it's okay to put this in the kellerbier category though the brewery labels it as helles; indeed the beer is closer to a standard helles in taste.

Pour is light brown with reddish hints. At most two fingers of large-bubbled off-white head, which shows good enough retention and a bit of lacing. A not too intense aroma shows a mainly sweet base of caramel and slightly nutty malts, with some dark bread notes too. There's also a light fruity undernote (dark fruits, though i couldn't pick up anything specific). A little brighter in taste with a quite sweet malty base as the aroma suggested. Same notes as per aroma, with fruitiness now a bit more vivid (dark fruits, plum maybe most noticeable). Medium sweetness and low to medium bitterness, with a sweet mouthfeel and a balanced, semi-dry finish. Quite light in body with average or slightly sub-average carbonation (possibly a tad higher than style standard). Overall a classicly easy but decently soft mouthfeel. Failed to impress me in some specific way. But still an enjoyable, very classic dunkel.
