Description
Previously Brasserie du Pays Flamand's wild and barrel-aged side project Wilde Leeuw. Now operating under the Spontanerie name with 3 ranges:

Wilde Leeuw (wild & barrel aged beers in wine & spirits barrels)
Experiment'Ale (One-off non-barrel aged beers)
Jong (Brett Ale)

Wilde Leeuw beers released after March 2025 with Spontanerie branding should go here. All others should go under the Pays Flamand entry.

330ml bottle from Flandrinks, Hazebrouck. Pours a misty gold, thin white head. Enticing flavour profile.. distant bourbon alongside a brisk, fresh sour side, prominent Pineau de Charentes barrel influence. Nicely done, but more bourbon would've been welcome.

330ml bottle from Brasserie du Pays Flamand. Pours a hazed gold, large white head. Smooth, light tone.. doesn't taste anything like 8%. Definitely a smooth layered malt mouthfeel from the three grains used, wanted to get more defined hop notes but they're just not there. Generally fine.

330ml bottle from Brasserie du Pays Flamand. Hazed blonde appearance, good white head. Mushy bananas coming to the nose upon first sip, but not appearing to taste, very creamy mouthfeel.. interesting lime and associated exotic hints.. I dare say it's this new Dolcita hop that's responsible. Interesting but not achieving max potential.

75cl bottle from Flandrinks, Hazebrouck. Pours a misty yellow, large white head. Soft brett aroma from the off. Gentle Bretty blonde character with a light breezy brett character .. nice sipper overall, but seems a lacklustre strain.. could be edgier

330ml bottle from Brasserie du Pays Flamand. Pours gold with a fine mist, no head. Prominent brett on the nose, some pineapple shades. Flavour profile is quite sharp and sour, a little aggressive though the pineapple does work quite well with the Brett. No red wine barrel present whatsoever, so marked down slightly. Chose this after reading about the history of Brettanomyces in English beer.
