Bottle, 10.9%. Black with big brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, bourbon, chocolate, coffee, caramel and notes of vanilla and wood. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, hops, wood, little vanilla, little harsh, warming, notes of alcohol, rye and medium bitter.

Can stamped 10/26/15.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a jet black color with a two finger off white to tan foamy head that quickly dissipated leaving some messy lacing sticking to the glass.
The smell had deep dark chocolate being the main part of the bitterness. Yet still piney hops bleed into graceful sweet milk chocolate. Just a tad bit more of the sweet chocolate part comes out than expected but still good for the most part.
The taste was basically the spitting image of the smell. Sharp pine escorts the sweetness intothe aftertaste and rides on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a slim sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly low allowing the bitterness to partake in the harshness party on my tongue. It gets a little dry.
Overall, this was a pretty good black ale with a bit more chocolate malt than expected. Still worthy of having again.

Aroma: Bready malts and spice on the aroma, toasted malt, and some herbal hop notes
Appearance: It pours a clear reddish-chestnut brown color with a creamy beige head
Flavor: The taste is malty as well, bready and a little nutty, mid-sweet, lightly herbal / bitter finish
Palate: It has a medium body, leans light, soft carbonation, and a clean, lightly dry close
Overall Impression: Decent winter-spice type of beer here. It has a bit more sweetness than I would have personally preferred, with the spice falling off a bit in the flavor in favor of that sweet, bready malt flavor. I still enjoyed it though.

Bottle @ beertemple. Black pour. Aroma of boozy whiskey and caramelised malt. Flavor is very malty, with coffee, whiskey booze, dark cacao, mild cherry and some berries. Good stuff, but a bit expensive.

Straw orange a little cloudy. 1 finger fluffy head. Sea salt for sure with kiwi and apples on the nose really good sweetness even trough tie finish. Juicy like grapefruit and tangerine. Small bitterness. Insanely refreshing

The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated fairly quickly. Spotty lace runs around the glass nicely.
The smell had some tart lemon up front with some salt, grassiness and funk sliding in for the balance.
The taste was sour, salty and citrusy. A nice level of tart to light sweet wheat is underneath. Gentle sour to salty aftertaste leads into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent crisp sessionability about it. Carbonation seems to hit my tongue appropriately.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good gose. I’d have this again preferably in the Summer.
