Description
Two Roads Brewing Company was founded in 2012 by four friends who dreamed for years of starting a craft brewery. We foster a “road less traveled” philosophy in the beers we make and how we make them. In that spirit, Phil Markowski, our award-winning Brewmaster and 27 year craft beer veteran has created an extensive lineup that takes a unique twist on classic beer styles. Two Roads was named one of the ten best breweries in America by Paste Magazine and has won many awards including gold for Belgian Lambic style Ale in 2016 at the Great American Beer Festival.

Two Roads isn’t just the logo on our brewery building, it’s our philosophy. Life always seems to offer up two ways to go. It just so happens, we prefer the one less taken and having some fun along the way – in our lives, our careers and especially for our beers! Now our “road less traveled” philosophy is being brought to life in the beers that we create and how we create them.

Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown color close to black in color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which tapered off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: some floral and spicy rye notes, dark chocolate, barrel woody spice, good level of ash to burnt notes then some milk chocolate
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a sweet ashy to spicy rye and chocoaltey vibe; finishes pretty ashy and barrel spicy
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; not really smooth as the rye really hits hard and the ashy-ness really dries the whole thing out
Overall: I liked the rye aromas and flavors but honestly, I think they need to scale back how the rye is conveyed in the feel.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: dark copper color with a finger and a quarter of white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral, grapefruity and mango/papaya-ish hoppy tones; subtle malts underneath
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a sweet to bittersweet quality: finishes very floral
Texture: medium bodied, semi-sessionable; some smoothness but also some hop aggression
Overall: though I'm not much of a Two Roads fan, this isn't a bad beer, perhaps again, maybe.

From beerolution, Troisdorf, best before 05/25, tasting it with pleasure, two days ago, at Epalinges. Solid and old school ipa, medium body, malty, note of sweetness typical for a double, resinous, bitter and citrus, boozy, subtle.

Can at Goblet, past its prime maybe. Hazy golden body, off-white head. Resinous, herbal aroma, oxidation, bit of fruit. Herbal taste, light oxidized maltiness, some dried fruit, some bitterness maybe. Yeah, will rerate if I can, but this was within BB if I remember correctly, so...

0.33l can from Goblet, shared with Hrabren. To be fully transparent, 2 weeks past BB date (21 Aug 2025). Hazy golden body, off-white head. Bit tart citric juicy aroma, slightly funky, thankfully no cardboard. Lean, dry, vaguely tart citric taste, bit bitterish towards the finish. Some minerals show the age, but this is holding up very well, mad props for that. Easy drinking Fresh, this would've probably scored higher, and I'll be happy to rerate it.

0.355 l can shared with Marko, thanks. Hazy orange, small off-white head. Aroma is moderately hoppy, melon, lychee, ripe mango, honey, orange peel, candy and some spice. Flavour is sweet tropical and citrusy, lots of melon, stone fruit, grapefruit and orange zest. Some spicy earthy bitterness in the finish, but overall too sweet. Soft, juicy, medium to full body, soft to moderate carbonation, lasting sweet finish. Very nice for a can that's not in it's prime. I would guess it's a blast when fresh.
