Bottle at home. Pours golden with nose of sweet plums. Tastes of plum, rice, hint of apricot, and simple syrup. Not as thick and syrupy as some infused sakes go. Could be cleaner though.

180ml bottle at YO! Sushi, Metro Centre Gateshead. Served cold. Pours clear with no head and aroma of rice, fresh melon. Taste is similar, rice, fruity, melon, and slight yeast. Medium to full bodied, low carbonation, dry warming finish. Quite drinkable.

Sampled at RBBSG. Ehh I have no idea how to rate this...it looks like water, just clear watery like... Ok so aroma, it smells a bit sweaty... Taste is weird, haven’t tasted anything like this before (pretty obvious since this is my first sake) but ist’s slightly sweet and some alcohol, I don’t get much more. A new experience, always nice.

300 ml bottle.
Rich rounded aroma, with banana and other fruits. Simple, uni-directional flavor. Lemon, melon. Round, mellow, full palate. Rather boring, but ok.

300 ml bottle. Clear. fruity, sweetish aroma, with some citrus. Retronasal alcohol is strong at first, then mellowing. Flavors of citrus and fruit, rather sweet. Clean, though, and very easy drinking despite not being full-flavored and a lack of complexity. Wonderfully full, rounded, and mellow mouth feel, with lots of umami. Very soft and very enjoyable. One of the most enjoyable I’ve tried lately.

375mL bottle at Fugakyu on 8/25/07
Watery appearance with poor legs/leg-retention. Very clear.
Extremely nutty in the nose, with almonds and sharp peach esters. Gains a rather unpleasant paste/glue-like note with not-so well-concealed alcohol. Kind of like what sake shouldnt be. Though it’s no cheap ozeki, it just isnt pleasant after you’ve had better stuff.
Same goes for the flavor, raw, unrefined and without any real delicate flavors. Too much nuttiness and alcohol, with bland rice hull. Not light or fruity or elegant in the least. Fusels are very problematic. Sluggish texture (for a sake). It’s cheap though....
