Description
The brewery Fuglsang can rightly call itself Denmark's oldest family-owned brewery. Søren Christian Fuglsang founded the brewery in 1865, and today it is some of his great-grandchildren who, with respect for the craft and the raw materials, produce solid South Jutland beer.
The family also runs its own export malt factory, which is Denmark's largest and one of the few independents in Europe - it is the one that supplies a large part of the good malt to Fuglsang's beer.

clear orange, smooth white head. pils aroma, slighly flowery in a sort of sourish way which i don’t like. Aroma sort of slightly reminds me of water (seawater). Anyway it is not bad, just a tad boring and a little strange. Flavor is sweet yet dry malty flavor, good bitter hoppy balance, good "macro" pils, good play with the slightly sweeter than normal flavor being balanced by slightly higher than normal bitterness.

Can. It pours a finger-thick off-white head over a slightly unclear, amber body. Banana, caramel and cloves on the nose, some hoppyness. It’s quite sweet on the palate, full-bodied and well carbonated. Caramel, cloves and some banana in the flavor, both initially and in the end. A quite decent one, but too sweet for my sweet tooth. 101105

Can@home. Pours dark amber with a soild white head. Aroma is malt, caramel and hops with some pine and grape. Taste abit to the sweet side with caramel and toffee, but also hobs with pine and grape. Nice mouthfeel with a fairly long bitter aftertaste. Very good beer for its price

On tap at KØ-10. It’s a clear, golden beer with a decent off-white head. The aroma has a nice, hoppy fruityness, but also too much caramel. Quite nice though. The same goes for the flavor, it’s a bit heavy on the caramel, both to suit my palate and to style. There’s a good fruityness and a decent bitterness though, but not enough to deal with the caramel. Bitter finish. Medium body, rather dry. A decent beer indeed, probably the most tasteful from Fuglsang. 100508
