Batch 407. Pale yellow, fluffy white head. Smells fruity, tropical, pineapple. Smooth mouthfeel, good density but highly drinkable. Taste is sweet, with a light bitter at the end. So much fruit, candied pineapple, citrus. Lovely.

Bottle from 33 Green Bottles, Gosport. Aroma is rich and malty. Marmalade citrus. Amber-gold. Creamy foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Quinine and gooseberries with underlying citrus and spice. Light-medium bodied. Thin but slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice enough without being particularly exciting. However as far as Golden Ales go it's good stuff.

Bottle from 33 Green Bottles, Gosport. Aroma has citrus and some spice. Pale gold. Thin frothy white. Medium bodied. Relatively tart citrus and stone fruit. Some hints of sweetness in the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. They call it a Pale Ale but the current Golden Ale style it's under us suitable. Peppy enough but not an interesting beer. A throwback to the days prior to the brewery's rebirth.

17/10/2020. Can at the Lublin SoN beer share, from Hoptimism. Pours very dark brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of bitter dark chocolate, roasted malt, dried fruit, wood and whiskey. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, light creamy texture, average carbonation. Whiskey, and woody finish, with the chocolate bitterness becoming more mellow. Enjoyed this, though it lacked a bit of body.

Can from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Atoms of instant coffee and sour milk. Underlying berries. Dark and glossy. Thick foamy beige head. Pours cola brown. Initial medium coffee-berry sourness with a sweet streak. Underlying bitterness then seeps through, albeit the sour berries are what follows through. Sugary tail-end. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Good stuff. Ramps up the sugary creamy coffee when it gets going. Just not overly keen on the sour milk aroma.
