Can ordered from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Vinous cherry aroma over dark chocolate - the whiskey gradually makes itself known. Dark and glossy. Creamy beige head fades too quickly for my liking. Medium-sour vinous cherries lead the way. This partly distracts from the underlying burnt sugar sweetness. A bitter dark chocolate, whiskey infused undercurrent benefits from the liquid warming up. Light-medium bodied. Creamy, if not overly so. Average carbonation. Astringent finish. The sour cherries are the key factor for this beer as is to be expected. However I would have liked more balance. Not as rich and indulgent as promised in the blurb.

Can ordered from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma of pine and stone fruit. Hazy, a pale neon orange. Foamy translucent white head. Light-medium bitter before juicy tangy orange hits, i.e. sweet edged sourness. But the bitterness remains in situ. Boozines develops into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick if a tad thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. This beer has been hyped on the south Coast Chapter UKCBF and I wondered how much of that was due to locals bigging up the brewery but it's deserved. A previously oldschool brewery that's rebranded itself and, most importantly, is getting the modern styles correct.
