Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at the Old Vine. Filmy layer, lacing rings down the glass, clear copper brown body. Slightly roasted caramel malts on the nose. Flavoured with dark fruits and caramel malts. Bittersweet endnotes. Clean in the mouth. Pretty alright Brit bitter. (Winchester 23.10.2019)

Cask at Hants Oktoberfest 2019. Malty spicy marmalade aroma. Light-medium gold. Bubbly white head. Light-medium bitter with a citrus sour edge over a malty core. Light bodied. Thin if slick. Flat carbonation. Long finish. OK gold.

Cask at Hants Oktoberfest 2019. Spicy grainy aroma. Golden. Frothy white head. It's an uber malty IPA. Citrus, spice and malts. Light bodied. Thin. Benefits from soft carbonation. Slightly astringent finish. Nice enough.

Bottle, from historic notes. Source not recorded. Poured slightly hazy dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of moderate roasted malt, toffee, biscuit, hops and fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, oily texture. Was a pretty decent brew.

Cask at PIneapple beer fest. Clear blond/pale yellow colour with no head. Not much aroma. Maybe just a touch of lemon. Tastes nice though. Bit bready and with sweet lemon sherbert element. Medium bodied with no carbonation and a nice bitter finish. Bottle @ LCRBM 2008. Orange color. Citrus and raspberry in the aroma. Malty, flowery hops in the almost vinous flavor. Warming alcohol. Sherry notes. Good!

23/8/2019. Cask at the 42nd Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours clear bright gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, flowers and yeast. Medium plus sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Bottle at Three Joe's, Winchester. Malty aroma with a hint of wood chips. Copper. Fluffy white head. Light-medium bitter. Malts. Burnt caramel offers a sweet edge. Medium bodied. On the thins side. Low key fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Decent enough bitter.

Bottle at Three Joes Pizza, Winchester. Low key citrus aroma. Pale gold. Thick fluffy white head. Medium bitter. A slight hint of sweetness before almost smokey malts take over. Light bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Not quite a standard Pils thanks to the interesting smokey element.
