Black with a disappearing off-white head. Aroma is anise and more anise. Flavour is dry and somewhat Belgian... with anise. With all those ingredients it could have been interesting to taste the actual beer, but dumping a bag of spice in it killed all nuances.

Bottle. Black color with huge rocky excellent lacing fully lasting brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark chocolate, strong coffe, mocca. Initial flavor is moderate sweet, finish flavor is moderate sweet and bitter (mocca bitter) with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted with notes of caramel as well as light notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with light roasted notes, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage. Very dark brown with a little reddish hue in it. Small beige head on the top. Heavy nose, roasted or burnt, caramel, chocolate, coffee and a little sour hint. Roasted and burnt flavor as well, with chocolate, coffee, some sourness and sweetness, and maybe a vanilla or oak hint. Mellow mouthfeel and a long finish. A nice one. (070512)
