23. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/vejle-bryghus-imperial-stout-jack-daniels-barrel/167426/ On tap at ØlFestival 2012. It pours a tan head over an almost black body. Roasted malts, some vanilla, hints of licorice and an alcoholic, boozy touch in the aroma. The flavor is maybe a bit boozy, with pleasant sweetness, some hoppy bitterness and a touch of vanilla. Warming, full-bodied and soft on the palate, with roasted malts in the end. Overall, too boozy and Jack Daniel-ish, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 120510

On tap at ØlFestival 2012. Looking quite nice this one, with it’s almost black body and tan head. Nice aroma too, licorice, roasted malts, some alcohol and a touch of the cognac. Lacking a bit on complexity in both aroma and flavor I think. The flavor is quite sweet, with roasted malts, coffee, alcohol and some cognac. Full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, with some roasted kind of bitterness in the end. A bit warm and simple maybe, but a fine beer anyway. 120510
