2006 bottle thanks to bu11zeye.. Thought this was a brown or even a mild because of the malt heavy and low, non alpha hop profile. Pours with a light brown head, covering a dark brown body. Aroma of dark furits, caramel and pitted fruits. Taste is a bit sour and metallic at first, but towards the end there ar dark fruits and some coffee malts. Lightly fizzy. Interesting beer.

aroma is very strong, pine dominates. quite hoppy. a more complex aroma would score higher. looks great, very nice large thick head. very strong bitter and hoppy flavor on a foundation of sugar sweetness. again in-your-face strength. overall a bit one-dimensional, but a very good beer, and even a good attemt at the style. If you find it in a bar, you won’t be disappointed (widely distributed in denmark)

bbf 28.11.2008. 50cl btl. sour and strong hoppy aroma. cloudy yellow white head. nice taste, good bitterness, some sweet too. overall a good beer. a faint hint of sourness draws down a little, but it is hardly noticeable. this bottle is not fresh, so that might explain it. way better than macro pilseners in general.

(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Black-colored. Aroma of roasted malt and cocoa. Sweetish roasty flavor with some chocolate and a bit of caramel. Medium to full-bodied. Nice, but somehow I missed the chili in this one.

2006 bottle. Pours clear amber with a mid-sized, firm head. Sweet, fruity aroma with notes of salty liquorice, marzipan and alcohol. Thick mouth-feel. Sweet and fruity with loads of alcohol flavour; too much alcohol flavour. Feels a bit lager-ish. A Malt Liquor-style Barley Wine.

Swing-top bottle Pours copper orange with a foamy head. Sweet honey aroma with notes of caramel and sloe. Flavour is more sweet honey but most of all moss and Labrador-tea, lots of Labrador-tea. I’ve just realized that I really dislike the taste of Labrador-tea.
