Slightly cloudy beige blond beer, practically no head. Aroma: nice, funky, a hint of vinegar, earthy, brett notes, lemony, grapefruit. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very dry, lots of tannins, earthy, dry, spicy touch, a bit peppery, fruity touch, yellow nectarines. Aftertaste: dry, spicy, lemon rind, earthy, good one! Well done, John!

Bottle indicates Sallands as commissioned brewer Furious gushing to enormous, reddish beige head, very stable over almost black beer. Coffee, yes, and something perfumey but at the same time artificial smelling, plastic of some kind. Wood, liquorice. Coffee, roast, liquorice. Faint sourish (stout-?) lining. Flavour is free of the artificial streak - but also less aromatic. Feels better bodied than it probably is. Overcarbonated, slick. It's not unmeritorious, but it might have turned out a lot better. Sallands ought to do better than this CO² bomb.

Bottle. Got this blend, still unlabeled, a few months ago from John himself. Spent some months in my cellar, until today. According to John, it's ready to drink by now. Color: Clear orangish golden, thin frothy off-white head. Aroma: Some fruity tartness but also a little sweetness. Oak wood, subtle funky. Taste: Nice mix of moderate tartness, fruity (gooseberry, citrus fruit) Geuze, subtle vanilla-like sweetness, oak wood, subtle floral notes and subtle wild yeast funk. Bit minerally and some old hop at the finish. Low carbonation. Medium body. Dry-ish, a bit astringent, mouthfeel. Not that complex but a nice, well balanced mix of flavors. Have some more bottles in the cellar, so we'll see how it will age.

Clear yellow blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: all lemon, zesty, slightly soapy touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of lemon, pretty acidic, rather bitter, zesty, grapefruit pith, a little too bitter. Aftertaste: very lemony, zesty, earthy touch, very acidic, a bit soapy, very bitter finish. Nice, but just too bitter.

Clear yellow blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, smells a lot like the Zwanze 2022 with “Gorilla pepper” (Ashanti pepper, or Piper Guineense), so very peppery with notes of grapefruit, juicy, lemony, pleasant! Reminiscent of Timut pepper, for me, but the citrus notes might come from the lambic here, and not from the pepper. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lovely acidity, lots of intense black and fruity pepper. Aftertaste: nice and spicy, dry, zesty, lemon juice, very pleasant, I love this one!

Clear yellow blond beer, small creamy white head, stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: a bit chemical, spicy, peppery, white pepper, herbal, ginseng, some oranges. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, very lemony, some orange juice, a little bitter, slightly funky, pleasant acidity, zesty. Aftertaste: spicy touch, a little rubbery, pleasant acidity, nice one, might benefit from ageing it a bit more I think.
