Brewery opened during Summer 1996 as Northumberland Breweries Ltd. In 2015 they changed their name to North Blyth Brewery. Brewing ceased in early 2019.

Cask in The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire on 6th Dec 2015. Golden pour with a full, lasting white head. Really fruity nose and taste, enjoyed it very much. Mixed bag of fruits in the flavourings, no citrus feel though (bonus for me).

Burnley Beer Festival 2015. Golden ale. Has an appealing fruitiness with a healthy malt-hop nose.

Burnley Beer Festival 2015. Golden coloured ale. Has some mild hops and mild malts and the fusion is pleasant with an easy-drinking texture and some grain flavour in its aftertaste.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2014, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Northumberland Main Seam ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee, dusty malt, vomit notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140812]

On cask at Five Quarter JDW at Peterlee - Unappealing looking yellow body, thin white head. Nose is a bit flowery, a bit of cheap perfume and some citrus. Taste has a claggy feel to it... I’m trying to get the thought of what it reminds me of, and it is like chewing a daffodil... flowery, bitter and not that pleasant. Below average, and disappointed with my first taste of this brewery,

Draft at GBBF 2014 - London. Pours clear brown with a tan cream head. Toasty bread in the nose, some grains and earth. Bready flavor with leafy and earthy notes, some dried orange. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. OK finish, more earth and toasted bread. Solid overall.

Cask at the Cafe royale. Pours copper amber, nose is nutty, toffee, taste is similar, light bitterness.

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty, chocolate and light tarish. Bitter, herbal and grassy. Dark roasted malty. Chocolate. Bitter and dry roasted malty finish.

Cask @ GBBF 2014. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty weak smoky caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask @ Kings Arms, Salford. Clear amber-gold with a creamy head. Malt nose and fairly crisp with very light tropical fruit flavours in its taste.
