On gravity at the Royal Oak, Bath, winter festival 21/02/09. Massive charred malt aroma, with some dark fruit and bitter chocolate in the background. Flavour of ashes, smoked malts, prunes and burnt chocolate, with a decent bitter finish. Full of character in a way that I liked.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 11/9/08. Pale amber with next to no head. Aroma of red fruit and grassy hops. Flavour began slightly sweet before juicy hops took over, leading to a decent bitter finish. Good stuff.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 22/7/08. Deep amber in colour with a moderate white head. Fruity malt and earthy hop aroma. Flavour had some chewy malt, a touch of caramel and citrus hops, before a decent bitter finish. Good.
