Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 1/6/08. Deep gold in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of sweet malt with some fruit and grassy hops. Flavour was also sweetish with a decent hoppy, dry finish. Ok.

[cask at Reading Beer Festival] Pale for a mild, looks more like a dark best bitter. Tastes like it too - fruity, with a dusty bitter afteratste. Disappointing.

Aroma is moderate malty, burnt, smoke, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. (Malt bitter and vanilla sweet).
