Cask at GBBF 25. Slightly opaque gold. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma is citrusy and spicy - marmalade. Flavourwise it has the citrus and spice but not overly powerful. Underlying sweet juice. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. A somehow shy and retiring DNEIPA.

Cask at GBBF 25. Opaque dark gold. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma is fruity and mighty citrus and hoppy with a porridge undertow. Flavourwise there is a bitterness throughout. Sweet sugary canned fruit edge. Underlying porridge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Slightly sedimental. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Nice for sho'. But more like a NEIPA than a Gold.

Cask at Cask On, 3/23/25.
Clear golden. Small, white head.
Toasty! Earthy, nutty, interesting and different. Playful fruits on the end. Reasonably malty and clean.
Good bitterness with herbs and fruit up front. Toasty, buttery in the best way. Light but ample body. Clean and flavorful. Very well-done.

Notes from July 2009 Thanks to Down Low Downey for the nice haul. :) Golden Carolus chalice. Plate of cold leftovers & the Mets getting goose-egged on the tube yet again. Body looks chill-hazed & just a bit dusty. It takes on a faded peach/faded grass sort of color. A sizzle of off-white head grows & falls like Sprite. Looks a bit heavier then my few other tries at the style. It got pulpier as I started to disturb its endtrails. Smells like watered down lemonade & sourdough. Really plain. My first thought is really spritzy. I saved some for an early breakfast, & it was just as active. :D Flavors of apple juice & lemon zest back & forth. Acidic green grapes & fresh grass. Maybe a touch metallic. Quite tart, but just very mild sourness. It ends cracker-ish & clean. Simple & delicious. A touch yeasty as it warms, but a cold top off settled that quick. I really like adding Woodruff syrup to weiss beers, but I can never seem to track any down when I need it. First Berliner Weiss I've had though that can stand up on it's own for so long without the sauce. Nice stuff. :)
