Description
We’ve lived, breathed and brewed beer since 1995 when our founder Colin Brown established Belvoir Brewery.
Brewing started in June 1995 based at 6b Woodhill Industries, Nottingham Lane, Old Dalby. The plant is a collection of redundant equipment from other breweries. Moved at the end of November 2007 to their current location at the same time upgrading to a 20BBL plant.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 09. Chestnut colour, lasting bubbly head. Toffee caramel on aroma. Some earthiness on finish. It’s alright, some decent fruity malt. Toffee is pleasing. Just a bit bettern than average.

Bottle that I picked up from the Belvoir Brewpub, Old Dalby, Rutland/Leics 23-01-09 consumed 28-01-09 Pours amber with a sligh haze, like the Hopshackle before this is probably a chill haze as my utility room is very cool. Wonderfully hoppy and sweet citrus notes coming off of this, even a slightly rustic aroma. The sweet hoppy flavours leach around the mouth yum. This is wonderfully refreshing with a good bittersweet tanginess, lovely beer, finishes with a lingering bitterness and a splash of jiffy lemon. A7 A3 F8 P4 OV15 3.7

Cask handpump ’sample’ at the brewpub, Old Dalby, Leics/Rutland’ 23-01-09 and then in bottle 27-01-09 Pours very dark brown with an off white small bubbly head. The aroma is just a little weak but some malts and oat can be picked up. This was a little fruitier than I expected but very nice for it. There is a flourish of roasty flavours coming through and a dryness at the end A6 A4 F7 P4 OV14 3.5

Cask handpump at the brewpub, Old Dalby, Leics/Rutland’ 23-01-09 Pours mid amber with a large white cushion of foam, in great nick it must be said. Some lemon rind in the mouth, its a nice citric bite. The bitterness lingers across the roof of the mouth and the tongue. There is a good bite to this, some thrusty hop. Its a tidy and tasty bitter. Foggy, red-brownish body under a frothy, beige cap. Fresh hop-floral aroma. Moderate hop resin in flavour alongside a sweety touch. Well balanced bitter finish. Worth repeating (500ml bottle from Centra, Colosseum, Oslo - at home 28.02.2008).
