Pours a nice golden-peach color with mid-sized head. Nice hoppy aroma. Flavor is a nicely subdued combination of hop bitterness and citrus notes. Very smooth finish to the beer. Not bad at all.

Had a weird, almost smoky flavor that sort of killed my interest. Yes, there are the hop notes and citrus flavors, but they’re drowned out by this overpowering flavor of burnt grain. Don’t know if I got hold of a bad bottle or what,, but this isn’t the best IPA.

A golden amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, pleasant caramel malt with light British hops, clover, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with nice grassy British hops, smooth. On tap at Farmhouse Tap and Grill, April 7, 2012.

Pours a light peach-copper color with little to no head. Aroma of somewhat muted floral hops. Flavor is some citrus and some bitter hops, but a bit overbalanced by a sweetish malt backbone and a rather bitter finish to the beer.

On tap at Winter Warmer: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a nice foamy head. Aroma consists of citrus hops with nice resin and piney notes also detectable. Taste is also a complex mix between some notes of citrus hops with some resin notes which is well balanced by a semi-sweet caramel malt backbone. Floral notes are very nice. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoyed this one.

Bottled 665ml
Bought from New York, enjoyed in Panama City. Dark opaque brown, steady brown head. Licorice, coffee and soy sauce in the nose. Full-bodied. Very roasted, coffeish with long licoricey aftertaste. Roasted, not sweet. Heavy, but good impy.

Great deep amber coloured body with a copper glow and a perfect, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, strong hops and a touch of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt flavour with some light fruits, a lot of hops and a good fresh herbal flavour. Aftertaste is a great balance of the hops and malt, a touch nutty and a little caramel sweetness at the end - a decent amount of body on the finish too. Overall, a very nice beer - especially for the style, definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on18-November-2011 for US$4.49 sampled at home in Washington on 25-February-2012.

Bomber from Carl K. Pours bright copper with a 3 finger frothy beige head. Aroma is floral and lightly malty with a touch of citrus. Med body. Flavor is light roast caramel with something like grapefruit rind. I have no idea where the floral went. The finish is nice bitter somewhat conquering tasty caramel. I still think there’s floral in the aroma. Nice ale.

Draught at Rattle ’N’ Hum, NYC, on January 30, 2012Really hazy golden color, white head. Apricots, acidic, malty, lemon taste. Warming alcohol. Moussy (a bit) mouthfeel, low bitterness. Acidic scent, a bit too much so.
