Description
The Féculerie farm, erected from the 14th to the middle of the 18th century, in Jandrain-Jandrenouille has been transformed into a brewery since the summer of 2007. Born in 2006, from the infatuation of two university comrades, the original equipment came from the berry brewery. Currently, Alexandre Dumont de Chassart continues the solo project and works to increase the capacity of the brewery as well as the development of new products.

750ml bottle. Opaque orange-tan body. Foamy white head. Mellow on the palate, pleasant Belgo-style carbonation. Somewhat earthy. I have read that this was made with Sorachi Ace, but the hop tone is faded, and more adds balance in a traditional bitter way. Some rustic earthiness brings to mind Fantome, but also not unlike a super cloudy De Koninck too. Unique enough, great mouthfeel. Good beer.

24 October 2019. At Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, unstable, frothy, tan head; lots of lacing. Aroma of iron, salty liquorice, mocha, raisin, candied fig, biscuit, chocolate. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, hinting at raisin, fig, quite some dried banana, chocolate powder & nutty accents; bready-toasty undercurrent with bitter mocha leading to a dry, herbal hoppy finish, bit metallic, lingering caramel, liquorice & dark fruit. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. I expected that there'd be more to it.

Bottle. 33cl. Pours hazy deep golden with a frothy white head. Chalk, cement, rustic yeast and grassy and peachy marmelade like hops. Very little phenols that does not spoil the fun. Smooth with a pleasant bitter finish. Tasty!

From tap at Moeder Lambic Original, with JFE 05.10.19. Translucent pale goden. Excellent aroma and taste of fine Czech pilsner hops. Oh, yeah!
