very dark brown pour with a film brown head. Looks nice, not thin. dark chocolate, roasted coffee, roasted malts aroma. fainter wood like notes. pretty solid coffee imp stout aroma. Flavor is a bit sweet, or has a sweet note to it, also a bit salty like salt licorice, faint coconut, faint chocolate. good balance overall.

aroma of coconut, cocoa, toffee, coffee, mild roasted malts, sort of like toblerone. Flavor is salty peanuts, coconut, dark caramel, coffee, roasted malts, The beer has a bitter caramelly aftertaste that I don't particularly like.

Pours dark brown, not black, no head. aroma of chocolate, coffee, toffee, coca, peanuts (a lot), In fact the aroma resembles nutella with peanuts if that makes any sense. any roasted malts are pretty much drowned in all the other stuff. flavor is salty peanuts, roasted malts, milk chocolate, coca powder, vanilla. Tastes like a good chocolate cake from a bakery. Very drinkable pastry stout.

Cloudy pale reddish beer, small aery irregular off-white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: overripe banana, funky, berries, sugary, fake vanilla, some solvents, some jam, sugary, coconut. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sour, lots of banana, some coconut, more acidic, decent! Aftertaste: pretty acidic, berries, banana, vanilla notes, bitter touch, funky, not bad, not great.

Label very similar to 2020 version, check ABV on label to see if it is one or the other. This one 10% abv. Aroma : sweet coconut, raisins, dates and figs, roasted malts, dark bakery bread. Aroma is way more pastry than most imperial pastry stouts. Also smells a bit like cristmas pudding. Flavor is coconut, raisins, dried dark fruits, roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, white cake frosting, dates or figs. A whole lot of pastry going on, but also heavy in the dried dark fruits department. Somehow I like this one, although pastry stout is not my thing. Perhaps i'm getting used to the style. Liquid cake...

Brune foncée/acajou, col fin crémeux beige.
Arôme sur un bouquet fruité chocolaté avec un côté pomme caramélisée – douceur de lactose, pastry puff avec un effet dessert caramel/chocolaté gâteau, biscuité, torréfié. Je ressens un peu moins le côté cannelle.
Palais est sur une base de porter clairement présent avec un malté sur le carapâle, chocolat amer mais de suite repris par une douceur latente dont du lactose où s’ajoute un apport de cannelle délicat, mais présent, et une petite touche acerbe de pomme et ce retour frais du zeste d’orange. En retrait, retour de ce caractère apporté par la pomme – en compote d’où ressort un fructose latent.

Barwa złota, zamglone, piana biała, dość obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie cytrusy, fenole. W smaku półwytrawne, cytrusowo-fenolowe, nieco przypraw, lekkie utlenienie. Goryczka do średniej, wysycenie i ciało w normie. Niezłe, ale czegoś brakuje.

looks very nice, pitch black, small smooth brown head. Super nice roasted malty aroma with licorice, wood and bourbon all there, but at decent levels leading to a very well balanced imp stout aroma. Hard to find anything I could imagine could improve the aroma. Whatever coffee there is, is also super well blended in with the rest. Flavor is not as outstanding as the aroma is. A bit salty and woody imp stoutish aroma with notes of glue, fainter notes of wood, perhaps maybe a little bit of coffee bitterness towards the end. But much more ordinary than the aroma. Still a very very potent BA imp stout, very powerful, but the flavor is not well blended, more like a bit all over the place at once. I am really split between 7 and 8 for flavor. the glue drags down, the rest is quite okay. So.. overall... Super solid imperial stout, great sipping potential, a bit glue probably from the barrel aging. plus points for a super well balanced aroma, minus points for being super potent but all over the place in the flavor. I think, perhaps, if you had this chilled, it would be less crazy and appear even smoother.

Goryczka niska, zdecydowanie brakuje, wysycenie niskie do średniego, ciało w normie, jest soczystość. Spory mankament jeśli chodzi o poziom goryczki, reszta w porządku.
