Bottle from Mead Museum at home. Pours clear goldenish yellow with no head. Nose is sweet honey and booze with a pleasant floral touch. Taste is sweet honey again, obviously, that floral and fruity touch is there again, even bringing a faint tart(ish) character. Closes with long lasting sweet and warming finish, has light to medium body, but definitely drinks below the ABV.

Pours a few shades lighter than the base Clara, for some reason. still a browned tawny. Scent is very expressive of the wood, loads of vanilla ! maybe even a tad too much, as this turns quite pudding-like. mild generic red fruit underneath, but unlike the base, the fruit seems rather young (green, unripe) in this one. Taste is smooth, fairly sweet due to the honey, tannins are pushed back by the wood - which presents lots of vanilla. alcohol is more on top, though its 0.5 % lighter. Anywway, this blend works far, far better to me than the regular Clara. The fruit intensity is pushed back from it's overpowering strength, due to the wood - that also might be a tad loud (the honey / mead aspect is still quite lost ) . Very decent, as a red wine alternative more than it is a mead.

Pours clear, yet very dark tawny. Scent is not very loud. Mild red-wine style of red fruits, but not expressive or specific. No real honey left in the nose. Taste is smooth, tannins make it drying, yet it does have residual sweetness. Astrigency is even present. The conflict makes this weird and less desireable to me. Overpowering red-wine like. Looses the honey. Generic red fruits as far as the grape character goes. Not bad by any means, just not the expectations for a Pyment - as the mead part is lost and this is to me a thicker, tannic red wine with residual sweetness, rather than a kind of mead.

Pours a clear, medium dark gold. Scent is full, straight forward honey. fairly elegant, very floral. alcohol is mild, but shines trough. Taste is full, smooth, sweet, oily texture, mild spice/floral bouquet. Alcohol is medium loud. Nice mead, but a bit one-of-a-dozen to me.

Pours a near-black deep red. Scent is intense, syrupy cherry smooth intensity. Some vanilla. Taste is smooth, intense, thick juicy cherry (boiled cherries) . Sweet, with a nice fruit-acidity to balance things out. Vanilla underneath, providing the needed complexity. A surprisingly easy drinker-sipper. Smooth !

Very great mead. Smoother lighter body, but perfect amount of dark fruit. Not too sweet, very balanced. Some spiciness, like hot peppery. Medovinara prague bottle
