Leicht eingetrübte, goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, getreidiger, leicht floraler Geruch. Prägnant getreidiger, leicht malziger, leicht floraler Geschmack. Langer getreidig, leicht bitterer Abgang. Mittlerer Körper mit aktiver Kohlensäure. Sehr süffig und einfach zu trinken, dabei erfrischend und geradlinig.

Draught at the brewpub.
Golden-amber, medium hazy body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of honey, grains, flowers, fruits, grass, sweet bread, subtle herbs.
Tastes of not too sweet honey, bread, hops, grains, flowers, grass, sweet fruits, some herbs, slight alcohol.
Medium, creamy, velvety mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes a bit warm, a bit astringent, medium bitter, medium sweet, hoppy, floral, grassy, a bit herbal.
Really nice. Quite strong, with the alcohol noticeable, but not too overpowering. Sweet, hoppy and grainy notes well balanced, supported by a lovely creaminess. Rich, characterful style example, you won’t find that often in Austria.

Draught at the brewpub.
Golden, moderate hazy body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of grains, grass, flowers, some bread, some honey.
Tastes quite similar, with even more grainy notes.
Medium toight, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes grainy, grassy, floral, a bit herbal, a bit sweet.
Nice one. Clean and fresh, drinks very easy, while enough aromatic, with lovely grainy notes. Nothing special overall, but a really solid, well drinkable Lager.

0,3l from tap at the brewpub. Amber clear color, small off white head. smells of tobacco, grains, caramel, spices. decent smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, light caramel, tobacco, peppery, bit metallic. finishes lightly bitter and with notes of tobacco and caramel. ok, but also not overly exciting.

Oct. ’14. On tap at the brewpub. It poured hazy golden body with quite small head for the style. Lightly sour hop aroma, obviously unpasteurized with lot of herbal hop that overwhelmed wheat notes. Flavor was, accordingly, bitter. Not quite what you expect from a German wheat ale, not really malty and aromatic (estery) as they are. Thinner to medium body with pleasant, lightly herbal bitter finish. Some banana and chalk were more evident towards the end. Weird, even if they intended to make a hopped weizen, it missed body and real wheat notes to balance it out. Reading the other reviews make me think it was just the batch.

Oct. ’14. On tap at the brewpub. The waitress told me its name as simply "Oktoberbier". It poured a bit hazy honey to orange body with small head. Pleasant, light caramel malt aroma with a touch of yeast and herbal hops. Flavor was lightly sweet, caramel and other simple toasted malt, typical for the style, then herbal hopped and quite yeasty, chalky, too. Medium, maybe even thinner in body. More elegant, almost fruity caramel was especially pronounced towards the end. A fine oktoberfest beer, although more body would really help it.

Oct. ’14. On tap at the brewpub. It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head. Quite decent bread/grainy and sharp herbal aroma. Fine, lightly bitter flavor, herbal hops were really nice along with chalky yeast and tasty bread and biscuit malt, even lightly sweet later on. Medium, even full in body for the style. Nice, long and pleasant finish, well balanced with both sweetness and bitterness lasted long. One of the better regional brewpub helles.
