Bottle. Nutty, malty nose, caramel and bread. Hints of chocolate. Low hop aroma. Clear amber-orange color, high, fine, head, slightly rocky. Slightly fruity flavor, orange or apple, mostly rich, nutty malts. Very nice nutty character indeed, without being too sweet, bready. Not particularly exciting, but it comes off as an authentic, well-made Vienna for sure. Light body, slightly mineral finish with a bit of peppery spicy hop and a bit of bitterness. Middle of the road but not bad at all.

Bottle at Automata. Pours a near clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy grain, light bread and a bit of wet grass underlying. Flavor is similar with wet grass, bread and a touch of sweet grain backing.

Bottle, mail ordered from Yamaichi. Bright fruit nose, orange, grapefruit, stewed peaches. Floury biscuits, wheat. Deep golden orange. Sweet and malty, bready, with stewed fruit compote. Rather interesting. Malts are rather German. Pretty decent stuff. Kinda like the maltiness, especially in winter.

Bottle from Yamaichi via internet. Malty, citrus, bit of pithy or murky notes. Some pine. Deep orange. Hazy with a lacy head. Flavor is rich malt, biscuits and crackers, somewhat wheaty, too, with bitter, rather astringent hops, citrus fruit, some ripe tropical fruit. Decent but a bit amateur.

Slightly hazy, amber, medium head. Aroma shows some pedio, light English yeast. Sweet, amber malts, a touch biscuity, the pedio isn’t showing through much.
