Danke an Taboada. Dunkler, cremig malzig-karamelliger Beginn, trocken, grobe Karbonisierung. Überaus milde Herbe, geringe Röstnoen, steigend holzig. Ab dem Mittelteil dann auch herber, weiter cremig, zum Ende schnell abflachend, zuvor kommt noch einmal ein röstiger Schub. Lecker! 10/11/10/10/9/11

A brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma bready maltyness, sweetness of syrup. Taste has breadyness, some syrup, but not too sweet, some dried fruits. Medium bodied. Decent.

Pours murky dark orange from the bottle. Aroma is slightly floral, aloe vera, sea water. Taste is mildly bittersweet with light salty undertones. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. Pleasant enough in moderate doses.

33cl Bottle at Allou Yiallou, Kini, Syros. Murky golden orange colour, off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, red apples, coriander seed, wheat, light malty. Flavour follows, soft and sweet but backed with a hint of spiciness. Light bodied. Not bad, not sure why I need to find this in Greece though.

9th July 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting in Chez Sophie. I brought this 33cl bottle; BB 29th Jan 2020, obtained from Ultracomida, Aberystwyth. Misty golden body, weak white head. Oranges in the aroma and taste, other less sweet citrus fruits also turn up in the nose and flavour, interesting and different, liked it.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 18, thanks to blackhaddock for this! Pours a misty gold, white head. Gentle orange citrus on the nose. Taste is refreshing with a gentle orange influence and soft yeast sweetness. Others before me have been unkind to this beer, but I found it rather likeable.

33cl bottle from Ultracomida, Aberystwyth. Drank at home on 8th July 2018. Slight haze to the golden pour, white topping. I do not usually go for 'honey beers' but this sounded and looked interesting, and I really enjoyed it. The nose and taste both had honey notes within. Semi-sweet malty brew with the honey along something else herbal (Rosemary?) giving it an extra dimension and a little more character.

33cl bottle from the lovely Spanish Deli called Ultracomida in Aberystwyth. Poured into an old Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass at home on 6th July 2018. Red hue to the dark amber brew, off-white head. Caramel and toffee in the nose and taste, light sweetness throughout, where did the sherry barrel ageing go? Didn't detect any influence of sherry or a mellowing of the beer. Liked it, but was expecting a little more because of the 'sherry barrel - aged beer' bit on the label.
