cloudy golden color. Frothy white head. Very strong, slightly sour, nose with biscuit, Lemongrass, and black pepper funky nose. Medium full body, definitely appropriate more for the winter. Slightly tart, lots of lemongrass and lemon in the mouth. Modest bitterness. Warming alcohol burn in the throat at the finish. I generally am not a big fan of higher abv saisons and this is no exception. Decent for what it wants to be, but not really for me.

Hazy brown color. Frothy off white head. Lots of cacao, slightly sweet nose with maple. I didn’t notice the cherry very much. Very carbonated but despite the fact it’s a cherry maple porter it doesn’t show a lot of character. As it warms up the maple becomes much more noticeable and the beer is sweeter. Overall not bad, but lacks depth

330 ml bottle, mail order from the brewery. Awesome saison nose, spicy farmhouse yeast, yuzu blending very well, bready malt, peppry spice. Deep, cloudy orange with a high, rocky head. Perfect yuzu flavor, sweet orange notes, biscuit, spicy. Light, peppery carbonation is also perfect. Awesome beer. Really great use of fruit, working it with the spicy farmhouse yeast. Not too sweet, complex.

Tap at Beach Muffin. Nice fruit nose, peaches, oranges, earthy hops, caramel and some chocolate. Nice and juicy flavor, fruits, bread, caramel, not sweet but great malt richness. Subtle and highly drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Yorocco Amber Saved My Life Saison on 24 Feb 2020 at 09:42 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: Tap at Bungalow. The last version was an American Amber ale at 5%. This uses saison yeast and is 6%. Glowing, hazy amber orange. Rich nutty malt in the nose, oranges, zest. Spicy saison yeast, nutty, bready malt flavor. Perfectly full, smooth body just fills the mouth. Fabulous malt character and body.

Tap at Mikkeller and Friends in Shimokita. Pours a fairly clear light copper with a finger of head that dissipates fairly quickly. Lots of peach and orange marmalade on the nose. Some toasted caramel and herb on the palate. Easy drinking with a little bit of a sweet finish. Body feels light and it’s refreshing on the palate. --- Beer merged from original tick of Amber Saved My Life on 22 Oct 2016 at 18:36 - Score: 7. Original review text: Nice Polaris dry hopped amber!

medium Amber color. Lemongrass and apricot nose that is weird. The mouth is very malty with some tangerines and cherries. Pretty average.

Golden color. No head. Massively citrus rind nose, like a wet orange lollipop with tons of funk, with good of pepper. Medium full body with lots of hops, tons of citrus rind and citrus candy just amazing citrus notes. A bit heavier than expected but so tasty. The citrus just lingers.

Tap at Gremlin for Au Revoir Tokyo. Pours a cloudy, orange juice orange color with a finger of foam that lingers throughout. Big banana juice aromas with some peach and mango as it warms. The saison yeast is there throughout. Creamy mouthfeel almsot like banana juice with more tropical fruit. Almost no bitterness, but a touch of pepper. Juicy saison says Juicy McCormick! --- Beer merged from original tick of Juf on 22 Oct 2016 at 18:37 - Score: 8
