0.5 l on tap at the brewpub at 6% abv, makes totally sense that only the strongest beer can only be ordered in large glasses. Clear, dark amber with a foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit grassy and a little fruity aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, hints of raisins and traces of straw. Quite sweet, malty, a little fruity and minimally grassy taste of caramel, toasted nuts, some raisins and a touch of straw, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly grassy finish with hints of alcohol. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Strange to taste alcohol at such abv already, other than that a pleasant brew.

Tap at the source. Pours amber with beige head. Aroma is sweet, malt, caramel. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, malt, booze, some grains and chocolate notes. Overall: drinkable, but quite boozy, bit like ESL. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gold 16° on 20 May 2018 at 16:47
