Established in 2011
From modest origins in July 2011, which saw Nene Valley Brewery operating with just a two-and-a-half-barrel facility, the company moved into its new riverside premises at the end of that year and now operates a 15-barrel installation. Brewing is undertaken once a week with a range of products distributed to local pubs, wholesalers and direct to the public.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus, faint coffee. Taste is more of the same. Coffee builds down the glass. A little thin.

Bottle from the brewery. Appearance - black with a lovely deep crema head. Nose - dark chocolate. Creamy. Taste - creamy dark chocolate with roast and Palate - medium bodied. Creamy with a light roasty finish. Overall - good example of the style.

Bottle at home. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Taste is more of the same. Decent milk stout.

Can from the brewery. Appearance - hazy golden orange. White head, quickly disappearing. Nose - interesting melding of orange fruit with subtle coffee bean. Taste - dry roast coffee is dominant this time. Orange tang at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied. Roasty finish. Overall - a bit disparate, but not bad.

Bottle from the brewery. Appearance - opaque jet black. Fawn head. Nose - cola, booze, wood, raisins and dark chocolate. Taste - seasoned wood. Burnt raisin, booze standing out. Palate - medium bodied with great length. Roasty. Overall - good.
