Tap at ibrew. Lots of smoke! Some caramel too. Tiny bit of hop character to it, bit of resin, but all about the smoke. Pretty nice though. Easier going than regular smoked beers. Maybe a gateway to rauch.

Tap at Amber Rondo. So good we had it twice. Spicy, cheesy, funky, malty, but very interesting. Great stuff. Brown ale feel but with some sorachi weirdness and nice bitterness. Couldn't imagine it's only 4.5%. So much taste.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Light taste, quite malty, bit of caramel, touch thin. Quite nice but maybe a touch uninteresting but maybe that's the style. Touch of light citrus later but not sure to be honest.

Tap at Pigalle. Weird but interesting aroma of banana but some kind of plastic too. Taste is cherry, banana, bit of wheat, fairly easy going for the style and strength, but also some bitterness. Interesting. As it warms, becomes more as you'd expect. Banana, wheat, creamy and loses the initial sharpness that I guess was the hops.

Tap at JBC. Aroma is hoppy, bit of citrus, but fairly light and quite creamy. Hops less prominent in the taste, but still there. Quite dry, bit of cream. Nice enough.

Keyaki. Aroma is rice, bit of booze. Taste has sweetness, wheaty, nice. Maybe the sake is a bit disconcerting for me as I've had some bad sake hangovers.

Keyaki. Aroma is malty, bit of caramel. Taste is interesting, quite dry, malty again, a touch of fruit there, mugicha. Very different. Light bitterness.

Tap at the Watering Hole. Dark amber brown, bit cloudy. Small golden head. Aroma is lightly spicy, biscuity malt, Belgian yeasty, maybe. Taste is very good initial ginger spice, then malty sweetness, lightly fruity, decent creamy body, bananas, lovely. Further down sweetness becomes more dominant. Good stuff.

Tap at the Watering Hole. Blond colour, small white head. Taste is good, grapefruit, quite fruity, grain in the background. Nice lingering bitter finish. Aroma is yeasty, bit prickly, citrus, grapefruit again. Surprisingly nice. Great stuff.

Tap at the Watering Hole. Amber colour, clear, golden small head. Aroma is citrus, Belgian yeasty, lots of grain, wheat. Taste similar, citrus, lemon at the front, lightly tropical, Lots of malt, almost British style, graininess, wheat. Lots of taste for small %. Second time, much nicer, bags of taste, lots of grain, but more fruity this time. Interesting fruits too, but creamy too. Great stuff.
