In 2016, Michael (New Zealand) and Judit (Llofriu, Baix Empordà) created DosKiwis Brewing with the mission of brewing the beers they wanted to drink and sharing them with their community.
They opened their taproom and brewery in February 2019, a space where the cultures from New Zealand and Catalonia meet. Located in Rupià, Baix Empordà, DosKiwis aims to be an integral part of the neighbourhood by collaborating and partnering with like minded business and projects and enhance the lives of those living or visiting the area.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Hazy orange gold beer, small and vanishingly short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, smooth, reasonable fine minerally carbonation very late in the day. Light smooth pale malts, a nicely judged level of sweetness. Hops bring smooth cooling pine. Juicy piney and fairly bright hop fruits, a very pleasant fruity cocktail that runs from rounded citrus to tropical fruits. Hop spice nibble on the end. Smooth and inherently right for me. Don't think I have had a better Dos Kiwis brew.

Can. Pours a dark gold colour with a tight white head, plenty of hops and fruit especially lemon in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry citrus finish.

440ml can. Clear yellow gold with a white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, mango. Taste of orange and grapefruit, marmalade, caramel, herbal, started a bit sweet but finishes very resinous, and just enough bitterness. Medium bodied. Lovely westie.

Dorée, col épais blanc crémeux.
Arôme est chargé en notes 'dank', pas mal de résine et de pin repris par un léger appui de pamplemousse tout en ayant un subtil côté poudre d'ail/oignon.
Palais est dank, pas mal de houblons, chargé en résine + support fruité à noyaux apporté par le houblon Nectaron - le tout garde aussi une fraîcheur florale. Pointe d'ananas en support e tune douceur presque vanillée en fin d e bouche avec un retour plus tropical.

Brassin spécial par DosKiwis - cela fait qcq années que DK produit une bière anniversaire pour Bagels & Beers - bizarrement cette année il n'y a eu aucune production en cannette.
Retrouve le haze classique de DK - ici, léger doré voilé, col blanc crémeux.
Arôme reste sur un effet de déjà-vu au niveau de ce houblonnage très NZ - fruité tropical avec la touche de fruits à noyaux, touche de raisin et agrumes.
Palais sur une houblonné marqué par des notes de fruits à noyaux et tropicaux. Qcq indices de résine et de pin arrivent en support - finalité légère sur les agrumes avec une pointe herbacée. Reste assez ronde en fin de bouche avec le support de l'avoine.

Draft @ DosKiwis. Une tournée de Rivington qui avait commencé en France avant de se rendre sur BCN et faire une stop chez DK pour cette petite collab.
Haze assez marqué. - col blanc crémeux tenace.
Houblonné sur le fruité et le tropical - effet mangue (unripe), agrumes fraîches, orange pressée. Le tout repris par une base avoine donnant rondeur en fin de bouche. C'est un peu over the top pour moi, et je sais que DK peu faire bcp mieux avec des IPA classiques.

Noire profond, huileux aux rebords, col mokaish.
Arôme est profon chocolaté, effet un peu 'winter spices' chocolaté presque café grillé, petite touche de chicorée.
Palais est bien sur les malts - grosse charge d emoka + cacao bean, petite touche de docueur en support avec un retour de cannelle - fine note épicée avec une chocolaté qui revient en support. Amertume reste bien là tant avec le support des houblons mais aussi du chocolat - pointe de fumé et ganache en support - dark chocolate.
