Amber color. Dusty aroma, old coffee grouds, chilli pepper. Some malt flavor, light residual sweetness; light dusty and coffee afterflavor. Not convincing.

tap @ OTH pours clear amber, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, touch of smoke. Flavors, similar to aroma, good light caramel malts, dark fruits, dry grainy palate. Plenty of caramel, toffee. Light palate malts, chocolate, light lingering smoke profile. Overall mouthfeel is thin. Balanced for the low abv. Scotch lager? why not.

tap @ OTH pours copper, off-white head. aroma, chocolate malts, light hoppy notes, the aroma was incredible, some burnt sugar/caramel goodness. flavors, grainy, prickly palate, lots of caramel/chocolate malts, light, barnyard/yeasty mouthfeel with a mild berry/bitter finish. Palate keeps this dry stone/malty caramel finish. This is light, and very tasty. Huge caramel profile, the granite process really brings this one a step up.

Bomber - unlike most other wheat wines I have tried, that taste more like amped up hefeweizens with a slightly different malt bill, this is more like a "regular" barleywine - completely clear, light red/copper pour - fairly lively carbonation for something with such an apparently high abv - highly estery nose, with some notes of toffee and toasted grains - creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body - dry, crackery, toasty wheat malt persists throughout the flavor, but halfway through it is joined by some sticky caramel flavors and a decent dose of bright fruitiness (cherry, strawberry) - some hops arrive late to compliment the lingering toasted grains - fairly apparent alcohol in the finish - needs a little more depth to cover this up - still, a fairly understated wheat wine.
