Description
We are a small family run micro-brewery with a 6 barrel plant in Darwen.

Barry Tyson built a Brewery in his garage in 2004, when workload got too much his daughter Natalie took over in 2008 and she now runs the business with her husband Tom. In 2010 the main brewing started at the new 10 Barrel plant.

Cask at Slaters, Stafford Pours a bright yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Very slow to clear, but does so eventually. Nose is generic malts. In the mouth the texture is creamy with malts, caramel and fudge. Some bitterness creeps into the finish. Quite enjoyable.

Handpull cask at the brewery tap, Darwen. Copper, clear with a large off-white head. Caramel and a touch of TCP in the aroma. Sweet taste, loads of toffee, with a medicinal bitterness in the finish. Soft to medium carbonation. Delicious.

Cask @ the Crescent Manchester. Golden color. Malty, biscuity aroma with a hint of smoke. Malty bready flavor with flowery hops, a hint of butter and some caramel.

Cask at Stephen Park, Cloudspotting 2019. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel, rye, faint grassy hop. Taste is sweet, creamy, chewy almost. Sticky finish.

Gravicask at 37th Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Low beige head, jet black in the glass. Dotted spots on the glass. Roasted semi-sweet malty nose. Mid-sweet malty flavours, impacts of chocolate and vanilla. Ends dry and sweet. Medium bodied. Smooth on the swallow. Likable. (07.02.2019).

9/2/2019. Cask at the 37th Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear very dark brown with minimal off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, vanilla, slight wood and rum. Medium plus sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft to flat carbonation. Sweet finish, with increasing bitterness. Decent brew.

Tap at the bridgewater in Darwen. Nose is sweet citrus, bread, orange juice. Palate is very sweet, juicy orange, grains. This is weird, tasted like starch got in there.
