31/5/2019. Cask at the Cherry Tree Beer Festival, Woodbridge. Pours slightly hazy mid-gold with a small white head. Aroma of light spicy hops, tropical and citrus fruits, malt and flowers. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and creamy texture, soft carbonation.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As Backyard Canicule ].Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy, ginger. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, ginger, spicy, ginger peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO: way to much ginger for me ! [20170809] 5-3-5-3-8

Cask @ The Railwayman's Arms, Bridgnorth. Pours dark with small tan topping. Lots of coffee jumping out on the nose giving a big nod to the coffee flavours to come. Some coal and ashy hints, though that could just be suggestive thanks to the name, some chocolate notes, dry roast, dark malts but largely this beer is all about the coffee. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Clear straw colour with a generous white head. Citrus and biscuit aroma, flavour is lemon, biscuit and, oddly, butter. It's a bit like a lemon meringue pie tbh but not quite as satisfying

This is... fine. Clear golden with a white head. Light zesty, bready aroma and the flavour is about the same but nothing to knock your socks off. An almost buttery flavour in the backtaste along with some bitter citrus. Chilled it's fine and refreshing but it doesn't taste of an awful lot really.

Hand-pulled cask pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates, Shropshire on 21st Dec 2018. White fluffy head on a golden body. Not a huge amount going on aroma wise, taste is a decent blend of earthy hops and light malty sweetness.

Hand-pulled cask pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington Shropshire on 6th Nov 2018. Golden amber body, clean and clear, off-white crown. Nice hop front to the nose and taste, piney and fruity, but not citrusy (a bonus for me). The malts are in the background throughout, but add a little sweetness to prevent the beer being too bitter in nature.

5th Oct 2018. Hand-pulled half-pint, The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire. This Rye Ale is a lovely clean amber colour with a white head that left some heavy lacing on the glass. The Rye comes through the brew in both aroma and flavour, battling nicely with the Barley Malts to give a semi-sweet taste to the beer. Light hop bitterness in the finish.

4/10/2018. Bottle from Connollys Livery Street, Birmingham. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of hops, sweet malt biscuits, flowers, citrus, caramel and vanilla. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Some dryness and additional bitterness to finish. Pretty decent brew.
