Description
Hangar 24 began its craft brewing exploration with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends. My buddies and I used to meet at hangar No. 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport, after an afternoon of flying, to trade stories, talk aviation, play music and share a few cold ones that were recently home brewed. These days, the location of where the beers are brewed has changed, but the quality time spent enjoying a delicious, handcrafted beer and conversation with friends is the same as ever. I personally want to invite you to join the adventure. Cheers! Ben Cook.

75 cl bottle [2015] shared at mini-tasting with Laura Joes and Judyvv. Opaque black color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, distant bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg lightly, light boozy bitterness. Held up amazingly well. Awesome.

Fles gedeeld door Keukeman en Benzai. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een aroma van gebrande mout, hout en brandy. De smaak is vol gebrande hout, brandy en alcohol.

Bottle at Hanger 24 Orange County (in Irvine) on Saturday 5th April 2025. Just sitting at a table on the astro turf and I was asked if I'd try a new beer for one of their media guys. I obviously said yes and I was given a bottle of this and asked to say something. I was videoed and spoke about the beer and my position of being the Ale Taster of Wellington, they loved it. Beers OK too! Black with a wispy tanned head, Vanilla and Rye coming through the milky, sweet, boozy malty brew.

Matt, my Son-in-Law ordered a pint of this and I had enough sips to rate it, cheers Matt. 5th April 2025 at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue. Opaque orange body, soft white crown that stayed a while. Oranges and Guava obviously dominate the aroma and taste, it was fine in the afternoon sunshine and although it is not something I would normally have I'm glad I've had a go at it.

My daughter ordered a pint of this and I had a few Big Daddy sips for the rate. 5th April 2025 at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue. Bright golden body, clean and clear, snow white crown that stayed around for a while. Refreshing and very slightly malty (rather than very slightly hoppy). It's supposed to be light and subtle in flavour, and it is.

Margie ordered a pint of this and I helped her drink it (purely for the tick). 5th April 2025 at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue. Bright light golden body, white crown. Not a lot going on to be honest, refreshing and thirst quenching but any aroma or taste was so subtle it was hard to find, let's just call it a sun shine beer to have after mowing the lawn.

Part of a flight at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue on Saturday 5th April 2025. Amber body, mostly clear, white head that hung around. Hoppy with a piney bitterness and citrus bite, some light malt action for a semblance of balance.

Part of a four beer flight at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue on 5th April 2025. Bright golden/amber body, snow white crown. Hop centric with citrus notes to the fore in both the nose and taste, light bitter feel overall and very drinkable.

On a flight at the Hanger 25 Orange County outlet on 5th April 2025. Deep amber bronze body, clean and bright, off-white crown that tried to hang around. malty with a caramel leaning, semi-sweet because of that, minimal hop action, but it did remind me of the Alt Bier of Dusseldorf and I liked it.
