Old rating from 17-08-15 - 500ml bottle, pours a amber colour with a frothy head. Malty aromas with hints of caramel. Tastes of bitterness, with a hoppy flavour, with notes of caramel. Feel is of medium carbonation. Overall a nice drop, one I'd have again.

To badly paraphrase Otis Redding I'm sittin' on the top of a cliff, wasting time. Well, not completely, I'm nearing the end of my walk along the Cleveland Way so have opened this tin to enjoy the views of the Yorkshire coast before heading down to the town of Filey. Fair lager, I can taste the honey in here. Mildly herbal too.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il fruttato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma non è molto persistente. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di aspetto cristallino. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono anche la forma della frizzantezza, con carbonazione morbida. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è normale e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, un accenno di e pompelmo.

Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, frutta secca, resina, erbaceo, agrumi, arancia amara e mandarino.

Il mantello birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La parte liquida si presenta limpida. Il colore è ambrato rossiccio carico tendente marrone. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è normale e la permanenza è sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di caramello, miele, pane tostato e agrumi.

Bottle. Black with a decent but short-lived beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and espresso. Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malts, red berries, caramel, espresso, ash and mild citrus fruits. Slightly tangy. Moderate bitterness. Low carbonation. Nice.
