1000ml bottle. Opalescent if not minimally milky, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, off-white head. Smoky and caramel malty aroma, notes of barbecue, smoked ham, smoked wood, hints of wood ashes, barbecue sauce, coal, a touch of smoked eel and juniper berry. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, compared to the aroma surprisingly mild, rather background-ish, more woody, less ashy smokiness, some dark caramel, a chocolately touch; slightly diluted malty and smoky flavours overall. A mildly bitter and minimally grassy hoppy touch with some mineral aspects and very light tartness rounds off the work. Watery texture with some oily strands, slightly dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, medium, scattered, prickly carbonation. High-class, rich and intense, smoky aroma, sadly a tad watery (nevertheless abv adequate), I'd also prefer a slightly more fine and smooth carbonation; highly drinkable (as far as you don't rank smokiness as deal-breaker for drinkability in general) - pretty good nevertheless.

Very dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of intense caramelized dark malt, hazelnuts, dark bread. Taste of roasted dark malt, chocolate, some coffee, liquorice, nuts. Very good.

Clear amber beer with a off white head. Aroma of peated malt, bacon, caramel. Taste of bacon, smoked caramelized malt, mild peated malt. Good.

Fränkisch Hell, das neue Ganzjährige vom Lippert und als solches Nachfolger des Amber; vom Faß in der sehenswerten neuen Schwemme mit Blick auf Braukessel und Lagertanks (das Sommerpils war leider schon ausgetrunken). - Helles Kupfergold, leicht trüb. - Antrunk füllig und rund hellmalzig mit schönen Anklängen an Karamel, Nuß und Brot. Eine feine, fast elegant zu nennende zitrusfruchtige Hopfung mit leiser exotischer Note (Bergamotte?) und zarten Anklängen an Orangenlikör streitet keß gegen das brotige Malz. Deutliche Malzsüße, ein wenig Honig. Längerer, fein bitterer Nachtrunk. - Schönes Helles: warm malzig und etwas anspruchsvoller aber nicht zu kräftig gehopft. Das Amber hatte aber etwas mehr Biß. Lippert Amber, 5,4 %, Flasche vom Bauernladen, LIF. - Braunrot, gut trüb; üppiger Schaum. - Nase fruchtig und leicht limonadig süß, nur leicht toastmalzig, fein hopfenherb. - Antrunk etwas eckig brotig-malzig mit feiner Karamelsüße, Toastbrot, dezenter und zart säuerlicher roter Frucht (Äpfel, Beeren). Aromatische aber etwas harte hopfenwürzige Herbe. Milder rezent, vollmundig, hefig weich. Im Abgang knackige, leicht unrunde Bittere. - Frisch und aromatisch aber etwas unrund - ein rustikales Landbier, trotz leichter Schwächen sympathisch und süffig. (29.11.2019.)
